Sheffield’s ‘best kept secret’, Whirlowbrook Hall, has been undergoing a radical internal makeover in recent months and will be opening its doors to brides and grooms-to-be, on Saturday 31 October for ‘new Whirlowbrook Hall’s’ first ever wedding fair.  

The wedding fair is free to enter and will run from 10.00am-4.30pm. Refreshments will be provided and Whirlowbrook Hall wedding staff will be on hand to talk you through every aspect of your wedding day.

If you have already booked your big day at Whirlowbrook Hall, you can come along and imagine how it will be on the day, and ask all those questions you have wondered about but haven’t found the time to mention. If you are thinking about getting married or are looking for a venue, guided tours of the historic building and lovely gardens are on offer, as well as an opportunity to meet photographers, dress makers, florists and other approved wedding suppliers.  

Philippa Debono, sales and marketing manager for the Fretwell-Downing twin venues of Whirlowbrook Hall and The Maynard, said: “We have of the most remarkable venues in the region and now we are starting to shout about it for the first time in years. Many people who have lived in Sheffield all their lives don’t even know where Whirlowbook Hall is, which is incredible.

”We now have two AA rosette standard food at Whirlowbrook Hall – in line with the Maynard’s two AA rosettes achieved by Maynard head chef Ben Hickinson and his team; the gardens are amazing and we are well on the way to bringing the interior up to modern day standards. All in all there are few venues that can offer that full package of idyllic yet convenient location, great food and atmosphere, so we are now working hard to get the message out there.
