First wedding fair at the Maynard

Highly acclaimed Peak District hotel and restaurant, The Maynard in Grindleford, will be hosting its first wedding fair on Sunday 28 February 2010 between 11.30 and 4.30 pm. In addition to the free entry and refreshments available, The Maynard’s team of dedicated wedding staff will be on hand to talk you through every step of your wedding day.
Whether you already have your wedding booked or if Valentine’s day has simply put you and your loved one in the mood, the wedding fair is the perfect opportunity to plan your big day and get a real feel for how your wedding will develop, giving your imagination something solid to work on. As well as The Maynard’s wedding planner, Carly Montisci and the rest of the team, there will also be an opportunity to meet a range of photographers, dress makers and other wedding suppliers at the fair.
The Maynard’s sister venue Whirlowbook Hall hosted its own wedding fair back in October and the event was so successful, that hosting a similar fair at The Maynard was a natural move.
“The Maynard is the perfect location to hold a wedding fair,” said Philippa Debono, sales and marketing manager for The Maynard and sister venue Whirlowbrook Hall, “the recent refurbishment makes it an ideal wedding venue in a picturesque location and the quality of our restaurant will ensure the wedding guests are not disappointed!”
The Maynard is one of only a few restaurants in the whole of South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire to boast two AA rosettes and a major refurbishment in 2007/2008, transformed the Victorian building into the perfect contemporary venue.
